Past Grants

2011 Grants
At the 2011 Annual Meeting on November 10, the members of the Women's Fund of Vanderburgh County voted to award $55,000 to the Ark Crisis Child Care Center. Ark exists to keep children safe and strengthen families in stress by providing free short-term child care. The grant will enable Ark to add on to their facilities, allowing them to expand programming for infants. The remaining finalists — Boom Squad, Lampion Center and Ozanam Family Shelter — each received a $4,000 grant to be used in service to women and children.

2010 Grants
$55,000 was awarded to Albion Fellows Bacon Center, and each of the remaining finalists Dream Center, Echo Community Health Care, and YWCA of Evansville received a $3,000 grant to serve women and children.

2009 Grants
$50,000 was awarded to Patchwork Central, and $1,000 was awarded to finalists EVSC Community School Council, Habitat for Humanity of Evansville, and Ozanam Family Shelter

2008 Grants
$45,000 to the House of Bread and Peace, and $1,000 was awarded to finalists the Dream Center, Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, and the Salvation Army.

2007 Grants
2007 was the first year for the Women's Fund of Vanderburgh County. The membership voted to award $55,000 to the Boys and Girls Club to build the Cub/Cadet Game Room in the Club's new facilities. The other three finalists were each awarded a $1,000 grant by the Women's Fund: Boom Squad, Echo Community Health, and Holly's House.
