2010 Annual Meeting

At its annual meeting Thursday evening, more than 200 people were in attendance to witness the award of $55,000 to Albion Fellows Bacon Center.  After a presentation from each of the four finalists, the members of the Women's Fund of Vanderburgh County each cast a preferential vote to determine the major grant recipient.  Each of the other finalists:  ECHO Community Health Care, Media Ministries, and YWCA received $3,000 unrestricted grant.

The mission of Albion Fellows Bacon Center is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence in our communities through advocacy, education, support services and collaborative partnerships.  The funding request from Albion Fellows Bacon Center was for the "Heart of the Home-Kitchen Renovation Project" for the replacement of cabinets, counter tops, flooring, purchase of materials, labor, building necessities and appliances.
